Clever ways to Re-use Old Potholders
Here are a few great ideas for potholders. You can use potholders you already have, or you can buy new ones at a minimal cost from two dollar shops
Making a scissors pouch
A potholder is the first step in making a simple scissors pouch.
Instructions
- Fold a pot holder into a cone shape.
- Sew or hot glue the sides together( Careful not to burn yourself.)
- You can use the loop at the top for hanging or poke holes to run a ribbon for hanging.
- Next decorate with silk flowers, beads, feathers, sequins, etc. to hide the seam.
- Add a pair of kitchen shears or sewing scissors with this note glued to the front.
I keep my scissors,
in this sack.
If you use them,
put them back.
Making a Notebook holder
- Fold a potholder 1/3 the way and sew or glue the sides.
- Next decorate with silk flowers, beads, feathers, sequins etc..
- Put in a post-it-note pad and small pencil or a couple of pens
- Glue magnets on the back to place on the fridge
